How do I lock my Yellow Card account?

There are different options available to protect your Yellow Card account. We will walk you through each here:

Password

Your password is the first defense against intrusion into your Yellow Card account. When registering for your account, we usually recommend using a mixture of random characters that make your password uneasy to guess by someone else. Your password is private and should not be given to anyone.

Note: No Yellow Card employee will ever ask for your password.

If you suspect your password may have been compromised, change your password immediately (Here's how to change your password).

2-Factor Authentication (2FA)

To further protect your Yellow Card account, we advise that you activate 2FA on your account. This extra layer of security ensures that even if your password is compromised, no one else can gain access to your account. This 6-digit code will be required alongside your password every time you try to log in to your account.

We have written this guide on how to activate 2FA on your account.

Transaction PIN

You must set a transaction PIN to make sure no one but you can send or withdraw funds from your Yellow Card account. A transaction PIN is a 4-digit PIN that authorizes external transactions from your account. When you try to send cryptocurrency from your Yellow Card wallet or withdraw funds from your account for the first time, you will be prompted to set a transaction PIN.

We will never ask you for your Transaction PIN. If you forget your transaction PIN, for security reasons, you will have to contact us before you can reset it.

Thank you for choosing Yellow Card.
