Why is my manual deposit not reflecting on my account?
For us to allocate your funds, please submit a deposit request on the Yellow Card App for free.
- Open/download your Yellow Card app
- Click on the deposit icon
- Click on "Bank Deposit"
- Fill in the amount you transferred into our account
- Confirm and Submit
For your deposit to reflect on your account, please ensure that:
Note: You must include your reference number with your deposit for it to be credited instantly. *Countries other than Nigeria
- You’ve deposited from a local bank account in your name.
- For payments that are not immediate, you’ve allowed time for interbank transfers, noting that regular deposits take a minimum of 48 hours, excluding weekends and public holidays, to be processed.
- You’ve used the correct deposit reference.
- You have created a deposit request for the same amount you deposited.
Yellow Card processes a lot of deposits per day, and we require you to input your details correctly for us to identify and process your payments. If the deposit instructions are not followed correctly, you could end up waiting for a longer time than expected.
If you are in Nigeria and have used the instant bank transfer option, your deposit should reflect immediately. If there is a delay, it is likely to be a bank network delay and should be resolved within minutes. If there is a prolonged delay, please get in touch with our Support Team.
Most common reasons why deposits may not be reflecting.
Incorrect deposit reference
Did you enter the correct deposit reference number 100% accurately? As a reminder, your reference number is the phone number associated with your account. This will be your unique number to use as a beneficiary reference whenever you deposit with us.

Deposits from a bank account that does not belong to you.
Did you make your deposit from a bank account that does not belong to you? Yellow Card does not accept deposits made from a bank account that does not belong to you. This type of deposit will be delayed, investigated, and eventually returned to the original bank account where it came from. You should deposit money using your bank account to avoid delays.
You forgot to use your reference number.
If you forgot to use your reference number, you would be required to send your proof of payment, reference number, and proof of Identity/ownership of the depositor's bank account and the Yellow Card account to our Support Team for review of your issue.
Note: The depositor’s name must match the name on your Yellow Card account.
