Stellar Giveaway 2 - Terms and Conditions

Following on from the success of the first USDC on the Stellar network giveaway,  we’re launching a follow-up campaign. This time we are giving away 2 USDC each to a limited number of customers who send at least 2 USDC using the Stellar network on Yellow Card. 

Additionally, an “awards pool” feature will be introduced, where the top 20 senders, based on USDC sending volumes on the Stellar network, will take part for a portion of the award pool.

2 USDC Giveaway Period: The giveaway starts at 09:00 AM (WAT) on 26th June 2024 and ends when we reach 6,500 customers.

Award Pool Participation Period: 09:00 AM (WAT) on 26th June 2024 to 23:59 PM on 26th July 2024.

Award:

• 2 USDC for the first 6500 customers who send at least 2 USDC using the Stellar network on Yellow Card.
• A US$5,000 award pool (paid in USDC) for the top 20 senders, ranked by their total USDC sending volume on the Stellar network during the Award Pool Participation Period, and distributed as follows:
  • 1st place: $800
  • 2nd place: $700
  • 3rd place: $550
  • 4th place: $400
  • 5th place: $300
  • 6th to 10th place: $250 each 
  • 11th to 15th place: $150 each 
  • 16th to 20th place: $50 each 

Participating Countries: Nigeria, Uganda, Cameroon, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Zambia, Botswana, Rwanda, Malawi, DRC, Gabon, Senegal, Côte D'Ivoire

Terms: The following terms apply to this USDC on Stellar Giveaway:

1. Conditions

   In order to qualify for the 2 USDC award, a Yellow Card customer must be one of the first 6500 customers to send at least 2 USDC (incl. fees) to an external wallet using the Stellar network on the Yellow Card platform, during the campaign period. To qualify for the 5,000.00 USDC award pool, a Yellow Card customer must be one of the top 20 senders, ranked by their USDC send volume on the Stellar network during the campaign period. Each customer is accountable for the transaction fees - i.e., you will need to have more than 2 USDC (incl. fees) to transact and qualify. 

2. Eligibility criteria

   This giveaway is open to all Yellow Card customers eligible to trade USDC. You must be 18 years or older. You must have verified your Yellow Card account with a positive balance and be at least on Tier 1 by submitting official and valid identification. Yellow Card will exclude any account created using fake or fraudulent details from the giveaway. Users with multiple accounts are only eligible to participate in the giveaway one time. Employees of Yellow Card or any of its subsidiaries are not eligible for the giveaway.

   
   
   

3. Agreement to these Terms

   Without limiting the applicability of Yellow Card's User Agreement and Privacy Policy to customers who sign up, you agree to be bound by these additional Terms for this giveaway. You represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility criteria. You also agree to accept any decision made by Yellow Card, including a determination of ineligibility, in these Terms as final and binding.

4. Awards

   Only the first 6500 customers will be awarded 2 USDC. Yellow Card will award eligible customers almost immediately after making the qualifying transaction.

   Only the top 20 senders at the end of the participation period, ranked by their USDC send volume on the Stellar network, will receive a share of a US$5,000 award pool (paid in USDC) in the amounts listed per the “Award” section in these Terms above. Yellow Card will award eligible customers before the end of day on 9th August, 2024.

5. Contacting award recipients

   Eligible customers will be notified of their 2 USDC awards via email, delivered almost immediately after successfully completing the qualifying transaction. Recipients of a share of the $5,000 award pool will be contacted at the end of the competition from Yellow Card’s official email - [email protected] 

6. Personal data

   By participating in this giveaway and receiving the USDC award, the customer agrees to the collection, processing, retention, usage, and distribution of their personal information by Yellow Card. Yellow Card shall use/process the personal information supplied by the customer  for this giveaway in line with our privacy policy link here.

   
   

   The customers who receive USDC as part of this giveaway consents to the use of their name or details for advertising, marketing, or promotional activities relating to the giveaway and Yellow Card's products and services without additional compensation or prior notice. 

7. Limitation of liability

   Yellow Card does not accept liability for any damage, loss, injury, or disappointment suffered by any customer due to this giveaway.

   Also, Yellow Card shall not be responsible for any damage or loss suffered by any customer due to the publicity associated with this giveaway or any promotional activity by the Company.

   Subsequent ownership and trade in crypto by the customer is beyond the company's control. Therefore, we do not accept any liability for the customer or a third party resulting from the customer’s future dealings.

8. Account information

   You acknowledge that you will safeguard your login and account information and be your account's sole operator/accessor/transactor. Yellow Card will not be liable for any loss you may incur if you disclose your login details to a third party intentionally or by negligence. If Yellow Card incurs any loss due to your negligence or willful disclosure to a third party, you shall indemnify Yellow Card to the extent of our loss. 

9. Nature of Business

   Yellow Card is neither an investment company nor an investment advisory. Yellow Card is a crypto-asset exchange platform. We do not operate, participate in or promote any multi-level marketing scheme. We do not accept any responsibility for any loss if you engage in such transactions.

10. General

    Yellow Card reserves the right at any time and from time to time to modify or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, this giveaway with or without prior notice for any reason. These may include, without limitation, in the case of anticipated, suspected, or actual fraud or where it considers it necessary to do so. Our decision is final and binding in this instance, and no correspondence will be entered.

    Yellow Card shall not be liable for any failure to comply with its obligations where the failure is caused by something beyond its reasonable control.
