How to Get Verified for Tier 1 - For Nigerian Users

If you’re new to Yellow Card and in Nigeria, this article aims to guide you on successfully getting verified for Tier 1. In this article, we will outline all the steps you will go through every step of the way.

After downloading your Yellow Card mobile app, you will be asked to complete your setup.

Before reading on, please make sure you have verified the email address linked to your account.

Step 1

Login to your Yellow Card account and tap the profile tab at the top left of the homepage.


Step 2

Click on "Verify Identity," and on the second page, select "Verify Identity."

Click "Tier 1," as shown below.


Step 4

A page with the complete list of information needed for your Tier 1 verification will appear. Click "Next" at the bottom of the page.


Step 5

Please select your source of funds. You can choose more than one, if applicable.


Step 6

Input your home address and click "Next."


Step 7

Select the identification document you wish to use for your verification: either BVN or NIN enter your ID Number, and select "Next."


Step 8

Enter your “ First Name”, “Last Name” and “Date of Birth.”


Step 9

Then, you will see a prompt saying Yellow Card wants to access your national ID data. Click on " Yes Allow."


Step 10

You will be asked to Take a photo of your ID and a selfie picture of yourself.


Step 11

Once this is done and you follow the right instructions, your account should be verified within 1 to 2 business days.
